Three women from three remote corners of society work in the same building as cleaning ladies, working through a large manpower agency, that is, until they’re summarily fired by the agency. In order to survive, they decide to take their fate into their own hands, and they offer their services as a team at a laughably cheap price to the media company whose offices they clean.

The three heroines come from three very different and very distant sectors of Israeli society, one is a downtrodden 40 year old from a remote town, one a new immigrant from the Ukraine who had left her daughter behind,  and the third an Arab young women, a collaborator who ran away from her family.

From this point on, a new story emerges, moving along the story of the cooperative, as it is formed and run by three women who’ve never been in charge of anything in their lives. Our heroines must establish an egalitarian, collaborative organization that they will be making up from scratch, which means a new way of life for all three of them.

On the other hand, this is also the personal story of three women who make up the collective – a story of love, desires, the struggle for survival, of three women working on the margins of society in a vibrant big city.

It soon becomes clear that these two tracks meet up, with often devastating results. The strict rules of the collective, meant to preserve the egalitarian framework so that it can protect each of the women, sometimes clash with their needs and desires, so much so that a conflict arises between each of the three women and the collective.

The show portrays the story of breaking free and building something new, only to have it turn into another kind of cage, until it crumbles against the backdrop of the heroines’ personal needs and desires.
